Xiaomi has launched its Xiaomi Pad 8 tablet in the Indian market. This tablet made its international debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026. The new model is designed to meet users' needs for both work and entertainment.

With its latest model, Xiaomi offers its customers high-performance components, advanced display technology and extended software updates for its products. The tablet will be available for purchase on March 17, 2026, through Amazon, Xiaomi's official website, retail stores, and other offline distribution partners.

Display and design

Xiaomi Pad 8 comes with an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD display. It has a 3:2 aspect ratio and an adaptive 144 Hz refresh rate to deliver seamless video playback. The display supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and the DCI-P3 color gamut. Therefore, it is very useful for streaming, gaming, and productivity. 

The Nano Texture Display version from Xiaomi uses an AG nano-texture with an AR coating to achieve a 70% reduction in reflection. The tablet has a full-metal unibody design and weighs around 485 g, and is 5.75 mm thick.

Performance and software

Xiaomi Pad 8 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. The tablet has a maximum configuration of 12GB LPDDR5T RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage capacity. The system runs HyperOS 3, built on Android 16. Introduces various enhancements, including upgraded lock screens and a completely new application dock that enables faster access to programs. 

The tablet features Workstation Mode, which enables users to experience a desktop interface and browser capabilities that match PC functionality through its right-click and hover preview features. Xiaomi has committed to providing four years of Android updates and six years of security updates for the device.

Productivity and AI features

The Xiaomi Pad 8 includes several software features designed for productivity and multitasking. Users can operate two applications simultaneously, which improves their ability to handle multiple windows. 

The tablet enables users to achieve desktop-level work performance through its WPS Office PC integration. It allows them to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and PDF files. Xiaomi uses HyperAI technology to improve device connectivity, which helps users switch between tasks and devices.

Stylus, cameras and audio

The Focus Pen Pro serves as an external stylus that allows stylus pen functionality on Microsoft Windows for the Xiaomi Pad 8. The stylus weighs 17.5 grams and uses pressure sensitivity to provide drawing and writing control via pinch and double-tap gestures. 

The tablet includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for photography and video calling. The device features quad speakers together with Dolby Atmos support and four microphones that use noise reduction technology to enhance audio quality during streaming, meetings and video calls.

Pricing, battery, and offers

The Xiaomi Pad 8 is available in multiple configurations in India. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹33,999, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs ₹36,999. The same 12GB/256GB configuration with a Nano Texture display is priced at ₹38,999. 

The tablet includes a 9,200 mAh battery that provides 9.3 hours of video playback and supports 45 W fast charging. Early buyers can also take advantage of launch offers, including discounts of up to ₹3,000 on select bank card purchases, adding extra value for those who purchase the tablet at launch.
