Xbox Game Pass December Lineup Packs Blockbusters, Including Mortal Kombat 1 and Indiana Jones, to Make December Exciting

Microsoft is gearing up to close the year with a major content surge on Xbox Game Pass. The December catalogue has already rolled out, showing an excellent combination of blockbuster hits, cult classics, and an impressive list of indie day-one launches. The best part of the Xbox Game Pass December lineup includes Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and another highly anticipated, adrenaline-filled game, Mortal Kombat 1.

Every month, Xbox brings a new lineup for Xbox Game Pass, and December isn’t an exception. Microsoft, with the latest lineup, is making the year-end special for Xbox gamers. However, as always, a few titles are bidding farewell to the service this month to make space for new ones.

All the Games Joining Xbox Game Pass This December

Microsoft has announced its December Game Pass titles. Among the big names, players can now access Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Mortal Kombat 1, and a few other day 1 releases with a Game Pass subscription. These titles are available on every Xbox Game Pass tier, including PC, Cloud, Console, and Premium.

This time, to make the flow steady and exciting throughout the month, Microsoft has divided the times into three stages: early, mid, and late December additions.

Games that are already on Game Pass or are coming sometime this month include,

  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (December 4)

  • Mortal Kombat 1 (December 10)

  • Routine (December 4)

  • 33 Immortals (December 4)

  • Monster Train 2 (December 3)

  • Spray Paint Simulator (December 3)

  • A Game About Digging A Hole (December 9)

  • Death Howl (December 9)

  • Dome Keeper (December 9)

  • Dead by Daylight: Bone Chill (December 9)

  • Bratz: Rhythm & Style (December 11)

  • Sea of Thieves: Season 18 (December 11)

There are a few additional titles for the Essential Tier. The list includes Stellaris, World War Z: Aftermath, and Medieval Dynasty, and it will also join the Essential library starting December 3, expanding options for entry-level subscribers.

The last game that’s about to join the Xbox Game Pass is Palworld: Home Sweet Home Update. It seems this game will launch on December 17. For now, these titles will be available to Game Pass subscribers until the January 2026 lineup arrives.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass This Month

Like every month, a set of games comes, but a set should also leave the service. In December, several games also left the service, ending the opportunity for gamers to try them for free. For now, Game Pass subscribers will have a limited window to complete the playthrough or purchase them for a discounted price.

Not all the games leave at the same time. Games that are leaving on December 15 include:

  • Mortal Kombat 11

  • Still Wakes the Deep

  • Wildfrost

A handful of titles are leaving on the last day of December 2025. The list has names like,

  • Carrion

  • Hell Let Loose

Some of these departures, especially Mortal Kombat 11 and Carrion, will be a great disappointment to gamers. Still, the process is necessary to keep the rotation going every month and maintain a fresh catalogue.

Is Xbox Delivering Its Strongest Holiday Lineup Yet?

The most vital point here is whether the mix of AAA hits with day-one indies will give Xbox the competitive edge it needs in the subscription gaming battle. If the strategy receives a proper welcome from gamers, it would strengthen Game Pass as the platform for end-of-year gaming.

However, the removal of popular titles and the competitive pressure of 2026’s gaming calendar could challenge Xbox’s dominance if Game Pass doesn’t maintain momentum.

No matter the outcome, it is clear that Xbox is aggressively pushing its content to make the console one of the finest choices for the celebration season.
