WhatsApp is all set to bring a new feature for its users which will allow users to cancel noise while calling on WhatsApp. With this feature, users can make and receive noise-free calls even in a chaotic atmosphere. The new feature is expected to be available to all users soon.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing built-in noise cancellation for calls with some Android beta testers. The Meta-owned messaging platform explained that this feature will help users communicate more clearly, even in noisy environments.
The feature will work in real time, as some beta testers have explained. Some beta testers will also get a new option in the calling menu. This option will allow them to manage noise reduction. As of now, during the testing phase, the feature is enabled by default mostly.
It is important to note that the feature improves the clarity of the user’s voice for the other party on the call. This feature will improve the sound only when the other participant has also enabled it. Currently, the feature is only available to a limited number of Android beta testers. Usually, WhatsApp rolls out new features gradually. So, the noise-cancellation feature will roll out to the masses in the coming weeks.
Apart from the above-mentioned features, WhatsApp had earlier announced additional updates. These include simpler chat transfer, multiple accounts for iPhone users, and an AI writing help feature, which will generate suggested responses based on existing chats. It helps draft messages while keeping conversations private.
All these updates aim to keep the messaging app ahead of its competitors. These features allow users to solve common problems such as managing multiple accounts, switching devices, and maintaining safety. The Meta-owned platform announced that these features will be available to users worldwide in phases over the coming weeks.
