Trump Media Moves 4,259 BTC to Crypto.com, Raising Questions

Trump Media-linked wallets moved 4,259 BTC to Crypto.com, according to Arkham. Earlier transfers involved custody management, not sales. A November 30 note repurchase right raises fresh questions, but no Bitcoin sale has been publicly confirmed.

Wallets that blockchain tracker Arkham links to Trump Media & Technology Group moved about 4,259 Bitcoin, worth roughly USD 434 million, to Crypto.com. The two transfers came as the Truth Social parent faces a potential cash demand from convertible-note holders later this month. The transactions have renewed questions about its Bitcoin treasury, although the wallet activity alone does not show that the company sold any coins.

Arkham recorded both transfers at 02:17 UTC. They came from wallets bearing the label “2028 Convertible Notes Collateral” and went to the same Crypto.com-linked address. The company has not yet publicly explained the specific purpose of these latest transfers.

Two Transfers Match Pledged Bitcoin Holdings

Arkham’s first transaction involved 2,140.03 BTC, while the second carried another 2,119.31 BTC. Together, they totaled 4,259.34 BTC. Arkham identified the receiving wallet with an address beginning “34jvU,” which it linked to Crypto.com. Both batches reached that address. Their sizes differed by just 20.72 BTC.

The source addresses have a close connection to Trump Media’s earlier collateral disclosure. In its second-quarter filing, the company reported 4,260.73 BTC pledged against convertible notes as of June 30. The loan terms restricted withdrawals and distributions involving those coins.

That similarity ties the transfers to a disclosed financing arrangement, but it does not identify the reason for the movement. Neither an exchange destination nor a blockchain label confirms that a sale took place. The company’s latest Bitcoin holdings would still require a newer public disclosure to establish their size.

November 30 Repurchase Right Adds Financial Pressure

A November 2 securities filing outlined another issue facing Trump Media. Holders of its convertible notes can demand cash repurchases on November 30. If every eligible holder exercises that right, the company could face payments of about USD 1 billion.

The filing described possible funding measures and warned about a potential sale of digital assets. Trump Media said it may need to sell Bitcoin or other holdings if refinancing and alternative steps fail to provide enough money. The warning identifies a possible action, not a sale that has already happened. The filing did not announce an actual Bitcoin sale.

The latest 4,259 BTC movement equals roughly 30% of the 14,139 BTC Trump Media reported holding on July 31. That earlier total included pledged coins. Because the disclosure predates the transfer, the percentage cannot establish how much Bitcoin the company currently owns.

Earlier Crypto.com Transfers Did Not Mean Sales

Crypto.com has handled Trump Media Bitcoin before. In May 2026, wallets linked to the firm transferred about 2,650 BTC, then worth roughly USD 205 million, to the platform. A company spokesperson said those coins had moved as part of a wider trading strategy.

On that occasion, the spokesperson said the May transaction was a transfer rather than a sale. That distinction matters because exchanges and custody providers can receive Bitcoin for different operational reasons. Blockchain records reveal the movement of coins but not necessarily their eventual use.

A similar event followed in early August. Another 2,628 BTC, worth about USD 165 million at the time, went to Crypto.com. Trump Media described that transfer as custody management and again said it had not sold the coins.

Crypto.com has served as a custody partner since Trump Media began its Bitcoin treasury strategy. Those previous explanations provide context for the latest transfer, but the company has not supplied the same explanation this time. Its November filing leaves open the possibility of future asset sales if noteholders seek repayment.

Conclusion

Arkham-linked wallets moved 4,259 BTC to Crypto.com ahead of Trump Media’s November 30 note repurchase date. The company has warned that meeting repayment demands could require digital asset sales. Yet earlier Crypto.com transfers involved custody rather than selling, and the latest on-chain activity does not confirm a sale.
