US President Donald Trump’s estimated net worth fell by USD 168 million on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. This happened after shares of Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, plunged nearly 25% following the Democratic Party’s sweeping victory in the US midterm elections.
Forbes reported that Trump’s fortune declined by over 2.5% from its estimated valuation of USD 6.4 billion after Democrats secured majorities in both chambers of Congress. The election outcome triggered a sharp sell-off in Trump Media shares, pushing the stock to an all-time low.
Trump Media shares touched an all-time intraday low of USD 4.46 before closing at USD 4.49, down 24.5% during Wednesday’s trading session.
The latest fall pushed the stock below its previous all-time low of USD 5.40, recorded last week. The company’s shares have now declined more than 66% since the beginning of 2026, reflecting a difficult year for the social media company.
Forbes estimates Trump’s net worth at USD 6.4 billion, placing him 623rd among the world’s richest people. A significant portion of his wealth comes from his real estate portfolio.
The company’s latest stock decline comes amid broader financial challenges. Trump Media reported a net loss of USD 238.1 million for the second quarter of 2026, while its quarterly revenue stood at just USD 1.7 million.
Its flagship platform, Truth Social, has also witnessed declining traffic. According to data from digital intelligence firm Similarweb, cited by The Washington Post, visits to the platform fell 30% year-on-year in September.

As Democratic gains became clear on Tuesday evening, Trump attributed Republican losses partly to his absence from the ballot.
“I wasn’t on the ballot, and if I were, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE!” he wrote in a Truth Social post.
In an interview with The New York Times, Trump said he was ‘absolutely willing’ to accept the election results and work with the Democratic Congress. He also said his absence from the ballot prevented Republicans from mobilizing enough voters.
Trump maintained that he did not regret supporting Republican candidates Darline Graham and Ken Paxton, both of whom lost their respective contests. However, he criticized Paxton in a separate Truth Social post following his defeat.
