Tesla Inc. reported more than $573 million in 2025 revenue from sales to two other companies linked to Elon Musk, according to an amended annual filing. The disclosure added new details on business ties between Tesla, xAI, and SpaceX. The update also came as investors continue to watch how Musk’s companies share products, services, staff, and future projects.

Tesla Reports Revenue from xAI and SpaceX

Tesla recorded about $430.1 million in revenue from xAI last year. The company had already disclosed this figure in January. The sales mainly involved Megapack energy storage products, which xAI has been buying from Tesla for its power needs.

Tesla also added a new figure tied to SpaceX in the amended filing. The automaker said it recognized about $143.3 million in revenue from SpaceX in 2025. This amount had not appeared in Tesla’s first annual filing released earlier in the year.

The filing did not give a full breakdown of SpaceX purchases. However, earlier reports said SpaceX likely bought more than $100 million worth of Cybertrucks in the fourth quarter. Tesla’s Cybertruck lead has also said SpaceX replaced its support vehicle fleet with the electric pickup.

Tesla’s revised filing means the company earned over half a billion dollars from two Musk-linked firms last year. These transactions covered battery systems, vehicles, and related products. The revenue added another layer to Tesla’s business links with private companies controlled by Musk.

Musk Companies Expand Commercial Ties

Tesla’s filing also showed that business between Musk’s companies has continued into 2026. The automaker disclosed about $78.1 million in revenue from xAI through February. This shows that xAI remained a customer after the 2025 reporting period ended.

Besides sales, Tesla said it paid SpaceX and xAI for services. The filing listed $11.4 million in payments to SpaceX and $4 million to xAI for commercial and consulting services. These payments show that the relationship runs in both directions.

Tesla has also integrated xAI’s Grok chatbot into its vehicles. The AI tool has become part of Tesla’s software push as the company expands digital services inside its cars. Musk has also discussed using Grok with Tesla’s Optimus robots.

Meanwhile, Musk has outlined plans for Tesla and SpaceX to work together on chip production. He has also said the companies could collaborate on the Roadster program. These plans continue a long pattern of shared projects across Musk’s business network.

Investors Watch Cross-Company Deals

The amended filing has drawn attention because Tesla is a public company, while SpaceX and xAI operate outside public markets. Investors often review these related-party deals closely because they involve firms controlled by the same executive.

Some investors have raised doubts about possible conflicts of interest. Their concern centers on whether Tesla’s resources, workers, and AI plans could shift toward Musk’s private companies. These questions have become more visible as xAI and SpaceX move closer together.

SpaceX acquired xAI in February, according to the report. The deal placed rockets, satellites, AI systems, and future space-based data center plans under one corporate structure. SpaceX is also reportedly preparing for a large public offering in late June.
