Temple Wearable: Deepinder Goyal’s New Health Tracker to Launch Soon

Deepinder Goyal’s Temple wearable is set to launch in India in 2026, offering continuous health tracking from the forehead. It monitors brain and body signals, while its Entropy metric tracks physiological activity in real time.

Deepinder Goyal’s Temple wearable will launch in India later this year, targeting advanced health tracking. The Zomato founder’s health tech venture has tested Temple with athletes, including badminton star PV Sindhu.

Pre-orders for a limited-edition launch should open soon, while shipments are still planned for 2026. Temple attaches near the forehead instead of the wrist, allowing continuous tracking of brain and body signals.

The Temple wearable India launch could introduce a different approach to consumer health monitoring. Goyal says the latest device measures cerebral blood flow, oxygenation and heart rate continuously during daily activities.

The temple location offers access to blood vessels while producing less movement than typical wrist placements. The redesigned device is also measures less than half the size of its earlier version, according to Goyal.

A major feature comes through Entropy, Temple’s proprietary metric for tracking physiological activity in real time. The score updates every second across a 1 to 250 scale, according to Goyal. Sleep, stress, exercise, food, caffeine, meditation and cold exposure can influence readings.

Goyal described the metric as a biomarker that measures the ‘real-time cost’ of staying alive.

Temple also separates Entropy into resting and maximum levels for different performance insights. Lower Resting Entropy indicates better efficiency, while higher Max Entropy suggests greater physical capacity. Goyal shared app screenshots showing changes in Entropy and heart rate during meditation and cold showers.

The device completed early access testing, with the first 100 units prepared for founding users. Exact hardware details, weight and dimensions remain undisclosed ahead of the wider launch.

Pricing also remains uncertain, with earlier estimates near Rs. 72,000 and newer expectations around USD 1,000. Independent validation will remain important as Temple moves from experimental testing toward commercial availability.
