Swiggy co-founder Nandan Reddy has abruptly resigned, bringing a change in leadership at the food and grocery delivery company. According to an exchange filing released on April 10, Reddy is exploring other career opportunities.
Nandan Reddy, along with co-founders Sriharsha Majety and Rahul Jaimini, was actively involved in the company’s development from its inception. In recent years, Reddy led Crew, an artificial intelligence concierge that Swiggy adopted into its service portfolio.
Majety expressed his appreciation for Reddy’s contributions, calling him a ‘visionary force.’
Swiggy announced a complete board reorganization after Reddy departed the company, creating an executive team to lead its next business expansion.
The board will include Phani Kishan, co-founder and chief growth officer, and Rahul Bothra, chief financial officer, starting on June 1, 2026. Both executives are long-time associates of the organization who have been integral to scaling and managing key organizational transitions.
Renan De Castro Alves Pinto will become a board member of Prosus Ventures as a nominated director, replacing Roger Clark Rabalais, who is stepping down due to other commitments.

It is interesting to note that Swiggy is expanding its offerings to include grocery delivery and AI-led solutions, in addition to food delivery. The addition of experienced leaders to the board may indicate an emphasis on continuity and execution aligned with the strategy.
On April 10, Swiggy’s share closed at Rs. 276 on the National Stock Exchange. This represents a 1.5% rise in share prices.
