HrdWyr has raised $13 million in Series A funding to develop AI-native chips for edge computing, EVs, and industrial applications. The latest fundraiser highlights a rising investor interest in semiconductor infrastructure and AI hardware innovation. Founded by Ramamurthy Sivakumar, HrdWyr builds AI-native semiconductor chips designed for edge computing and physical AI applications.

HrdWyr Raises $13 Million

Semiconductor startup HrdWyr has raised $13 million in a Series A funding round led by Ideaspring Capital, with participation from Singularity AMC, Avatar Growth Capital, and existing investor Persistent Systems.

Investors believe HrdWyr’s technology could strengthen India’s semiconductor ecosystem while helping build globally competitive products.

Naganand Doraswamy, Managing Partner and Founder, Ideaspring Capital, said, “HrdWyr is building a family of AI chips addressing power management and efficiency across multiple sectors, including white goods, EVs, and data centers.”

How HrdWyr Plans to Use New Funding

The proceeds will be used to accelerate development of its AI-native System-on-Chip (AISoC) products and expand customer engagements across global markets.

Commenting on the fundraiser, Ramamurthy Sivakumar, Founder and CEO, HrdWyr, said, “The real power of AI will be unlocked as we enter the era of Physical AI, where advanced intelligence seamlessly integrates with real-world systems. This inflection point demands a fundamental rethinking of how computing systems are conceived, architected, and deployed.”

Why Edge AI is Becoming the Next Big Thing

Edge AI is rapidly emerging as the next major technology shift since it allows faster, real-time processing directly on devices without relying heavily on cloud infrastructure.

Dr Anand Deshpande, Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director, Persistent Systems, added, “AI-led transformation is driving a fundamental shift in how the technology stack is built, with increasing convergence between semiconductors, data and intelligent software systems.”

As industries demand lower latency, better privacy, and energy-efficient computing, edge AI could reshape everything from smartphones to autonomous systems.
