Samsung is taking pre-orders worldwide for its foldable Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 smartphones, with retailers and carriers offering attractive trade-in bonuses, cashback, and free storage upgrades to attract early buyers. The new lineup was announced during the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this week and is expected to be available to customers in early August.

Pre-Order Offers Vary Across Markets

Samsung is offering different incentives depending on the region and sales channel. Buyers purchasing directly from Samsung can receive trade-in discounts of up to $1,200 in select markets or claim a $200 Samsung credit without exchanging an old device. Some regions are also offering complimentary storage upgrades and discounts on Galaxy accessories.

Major retailers have announced additional benefits. Best Buy is bundling a $200 gift card with eligible purchases, while Amazon is offering gift cards worth up to $350 in certain markets. Carrier partners, including Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, are also promoting substantial trade-in deals tied to qualifying unlimited plans.

Fold8 Ultra Leads Samsung’s Premium Push

Samsung is apparently leading the 2026 foldable lineup with the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra; it brings an 8-inch AMOLED panel, a 200MP primary lens and a 5,000mAh battery. The regular Galaxy Z Fold8 has a 7.6-inch AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, plus a sleeker, more lightweight build than the one before.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 keeps Samsung’s clamshell style, but it also goes with a thinner profile, some software improvements, and a refreshed cover display that’s geared toward AI-based features.

Availability

Pre-orders are already live through Samsung’s official online store, partner retailers, and network carriers in several countries. The foldables are expected to hit the shelves from early August, though launch dates differ a bit by market. Samsung is also adding exclusive online color choices and financing plans in select regions to nudge early buys.

With aggressive trade-in deals, payment arrangements, and bundled credits, Samsung is putting its newest foldable lineup in front of both current Galaxy owners who want an upgrade and first-time buyers eyeing premium foldable smartphone models. This move shows the company’s ongoing push to fortify its position in a smartphone foldables field that’s getting more and more competitive, all the time.
