Samsung may have quietly offered the first official glimpse of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, days before its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. A fresh promo teaser connected to Spider-Man: Brand New Day seems to have kicked off even more speculation, after people watching closely, noticed what looks like an unreleased foldable device hiding in the background of the video
The teaser, posted via Samsung’s social media accounts as part of its collaboration with the upcoming Marvel film, shows Spider-Man kind of interacting with a foldable phone for just a few seconds , then it cuts away fast. Samsung, however, hasn’t actually confirmed what the gadget is called or if it’s even the real deal, but the overall shape and layout have people talking like crazy online.
The smartphone seen in the trailer is visibly thicker and shorter compared to earlier Galaxy Z Fold iterations. Moreover, it looks thinner, with an updated button layout and a rear-facing camera module.
All these features align with recent leaks suggesting that Samsung is planning a complete overhaul of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, rather than just releasing an upgraded version of its predecessor. This anticipation was further fueled by an invitation card from the brand saying ‘A New Shape Unfolds’.
Even with all these assumptions and speculations, Samsung has not announced that the phone shown in the Spider-Man movie campaign is the Galaxy Z Fold 8. What Samsung did was promote their cooperation with the movie, but not any product announcements.
As such, the teaser remains vague. While all the fans believe that Samsung purposely released this teaser to launch its new device, Samsung has not confirmed this yet.
