Xiaomi confirmed the global launch date for the Redmi Note 17 series, with the new smartphone lineup scheduled to debut on August 27. The company also revealed several specifications of the range, including details about the new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
The latest Redmi phones made its China debut in July, while the company already introduced some Note 17 variants in several international markets. For the upcoming global launch, the lineup is expected to include the Redmi Note 17, Redmi Note 17 Pro and the newly confirmed Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
The Pro Max is shaping up to be the most feature-packed phone in the series. Redmi has confirmed a 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. The phone will support up to 24GB of RAM, including virtual memory expansion, while Redmi claims the devices can maintain smooth performance for up to 72 months.
The biggest talking point, however, is the battery. Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will pack a 10,000mAh battery and support 100W fast charging. Redmi has confirmed that the charger will not be included in the retail box.
