Xiaomi has refreshed its C-series lineup in India with the launch of Redmi 15C, the successor to the widely popular Redmi 14C. With a larger display, upgraded battery features, and more polished performance capabilities, the smartphone is positioned to compete with Realme P4x, Infinix Hot 60i, and Oppo K13 in the sub-Rs. 15,000 bracket.

Is Redmi 15C Still the Best Budget Pick in 2025?

Xiaomi has aggressively priced Redmi 15C, offering three variants:

  • Rs. 12,499 for 4GB and 128GB

  • Rs. 13,999 for 6GB and 128GB

  • Rs. 15,499 for 8GB and 128GB

The devices are available in three colors, Moonlight Blue, Dusk Purple, and Midnight Black, and can be purchased from December 11 via Amazon, Mi.com, and retail stores.

The phone retains budget-friendly essentials while adding refinement. It includes a plastic back with a squircle camera module, an IP64 rating, a side fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm audio jack. While the smartphone has a huge battery, it's only 8.05mm thick and weighs 211g.

Does Xiaomi's New Display Strategy Deliver a Better Experience?

Other highlights include the new 6.9-inch HD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, and 810-nit peak brightness. Xiaomi also includes TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly for a better viewing experience.

The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Virtual RAM expansion supports up to 16GB. On the software side, the phone runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, with Xiaomi promising 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches.

Can Redmi 15C Outperform Rivals in Its Segment?

Redmi 15C integrates a primary camera of 50MP, a depth sensor, and an 8MP front camera for selfies. The massive 6,000mAh battery supports 33W fast charging and 10W reverse wired charging, making it one of the most power-flexible phones in its class. 5G, Dolby-certified loudspeaker, dual-band Wi-Fi, and an IR blaster are some other features that the phone supports.

With all these upgrades, will Redmi 15C redefine expectations in the sub-Rs. 15,000 smartphone market?
