LG Electronics is set to launch the new Gallery TV at CES 2026, where global brands gather annually to reveal future technology trends. The canvas-style television, which looks more like a framed artwork than a traditional screen, will be displayed in Las Vegas.
The Gallery TV focuses on both design and performance. The company has built the television to blend into living rooms rather than stand out as a black screen. When not in use, the screen displays artwork and photographs, making it look like a real canvas on the wall. This approach targets homes that prioritize aesthetics.
LG’s Gallery TV will be available in two sizes: 55-inch and 65-inch screens. The TV mounts flush against the wall, leaving no visible gap. Magnetic frames let users change the TV's look to match furniture or wall colors. The clean design helps the screen fit naturally in modern interiors.
The device includes a Mini LED display with 4K resolution. The screen uses LG’s Alpha 7 AI processor to improve picture quality. Colors appear rich and balanced, while brightness stays controlled. This setup allows the TV to display both artwork and video content with strong clarity.
Gallery Mode is one of the main highlights of the new TV set. LG developed this feature in collaboration with museum curators. The mode adjusts brightness, color, and contrast to show artwork textures more clearly. The TV also responds to room lighting and changes settings throughout the day. Glare and reflections are reduced to maintain a canvas-like appearance.
Art plays a major role in this smart TV. LG includes access to the Gallery+ subscription, which offers more than 4,500 artworks. The collection consists of classic paintings, modern designs, and digital visuals. The library updates regularly, keeping the display fresh.
The Gallery TV also supports generative AI tools. These tools create custom images directly on the screen. Personal photos can also be displayed as framed art. This flexibility turns the device into a dynamic gallery rather than a fixed display.
Beyond art, the Gallery TV functions as a full smart television. It runs on LG’s webOS platform and supports streaming apps and connected devices. AI Sound Pro creates virtual 9.1.2-channel sound from built-in speakers, improving audio quality without extra equipment.
LG has explored art-inspired TVs before, but the new Gallery TV takes a more decisive step forward. It competes directly with Samsung’s Frame TV and other lifestyle displays. Mini LED technology also helps reduce concerns around static images being displayed for long hours.
The Gallery TV reflects a growing trend where technology aligns with home design. LG aims to offer a screen that serves entertainment needs while enhancing living spaces. Pricing and release details will be announced closer to the CES 2026 launch.
