Apple will open pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India tomorrow, September 12, at 5:30 PM IST.
The phones will reach stores from September 18. Buyers in India and more than 65 other countries can book the new Pro models through Apple's website or the Apple Store app.
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs. 1,64,900 for the 256GB version, while the Pro Max starts at Rs. 1,79,900. Apple is launching these devices to give Pro users a bigger jump in camera, battery, and performance than a routine yearly update usually offers.
Both phones run on the new A20 Pro chip, paired with Apple's in-house C2 modem for faster and more efficient connectivity. The headline camera change is a 48MP Fusion Main sensor with a physical variable aperture, built to give users better control over depth of field and stronger low-light shots.
A next-generation vapour chamber keeps the phones cooler during heavy use, and Ceramic Shield 2 adds extra protection to the display. The iPhone 18 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pro Max steps up to 6.9 inches and a larger battery.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said the company focused on the areas users care about most: camera, performance, battery and intelligence, adding that these are not incremental changes but a big leap forward for the Pro lineup.
Storage options run from 256GB all the way to 2TB, giving buyers room to pick a variant based on budget and usage. Apple has introduced four colours this year, including a new Burgundy shade alongside the return of black.
Both models ship with iOS 27, bringing Apple Intelligence and an upgraded Siri built around personal context and privacy.
Apple is also offering trade-in options worth up to Rs. 81,500 along with no-cost EMI plans from select banks, which should make the upgrade a little easier on the wallet for existing iPhone users.
