GTA 6 fans are once again evaluating every frame of the second trailer. Rumors of a third trailer have been circulating for a long time, but Rockstar hasn’t released one yet. The second trailer for the game was released more than a year ago, and the community was almost sure they had analyzed every part of it.
A recent Twitter post by a fan proved there are still hidden things in the trailer. Looking closely at every frame of the game's second trailer, the user discovered a Tommy Vercetti easter egg in the trailer. The video he posted shows the sequence of Jason slapping a shopkeeper.
The fan zoomed out to the background wall, where an iguana lies. The scene lasts a few seconds, and the background is almost dark; thus, noticing the iguana is nearly impossible. Still, when he zoomed it out, it seemed the creature was wearing a blue t-shirt that resembled the one the GTA: Vice City protagonist used to wear.
Rockstar Games has not commented on the claim yet. Still, the theory has become a major talking point in the GTA community. The discovery has attracted attention since GTA 6 brings players back to the same place. The city was the setting of GTA: Vice City, one of the most loved games in the series.
Everyone is now searching for links to older GTA titles, and the Tommy Vercetti theory is the latest example. Even a small reference to the character is enough to excite longtime players who spent years exploring Vice City.

The timing is also important. Interest in GTA 6 is already high, and discoveries like this help keep fans engaged before pre-orders begin on June 25. Many long-time GTA players would love to see Tommy back in the game, but there are several reasons why that’s impossible.
The biggest reason Tommy hasn't returned to GTA is the death of his voice actor, Ray Liotta, in 2022. His performance played a huge role in making Tommy one of GTA's most memorable characters.
Apart from that, there are even story issues. GTA: Vice City belongs to an older GTA universe, while GTA 6 follows a different timeline. Thus, bringing Tommy back as a playable character would mess up the entire timeline. For now, the trailer detail appears to be a tribute rather than a hint of his return.
