Learning about artificial intelligence no longer has to cost money. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has started registrations for YUVA AI, a free online course that helps people understand the basics of AI. Those who complete the course will also get a free certificate.

The course is open to almost everyone, and interested candidates can complete it from government-supported platforms such as FutureSkills Prime and iGOT Karmayogi. YUVA AI has been designed for beginners. It doesn’t require the candidates to have a technical background. It explains all the ideas in simple language and shows how AI can be used in everyday life. After completing the lessons and the final assessment, learners will receive a certificate. The best part is that it can be completed within 4.5 hours.

The launch comes as AI is becoming a bigger part of daily life. Many companies now use AI in healthcare, banking, education, manufacturing, and technology. Those who want to join can register on the official YUVA AI website. After creating an account, they can enroll in the course, complete the lessons, and take the required assessment to earn the certificate.

There are many free AI courses available today, but YUVA AI has one clear advantage. It is backed by the Government of India and is completely free. Like the free courses from Google, Microsoft, and Elements of AI, it lets learners study at their own pace rather than following a fixed schedule.

Google’s free AI courses also start with the basics, but some go into more advanced topics. Microsoft offers a similar blend of beginner and advanced lessons. Another good choice for first-time learners is Elements of AI. However, YUVA AI might be more suitable for people in India looking for a government-backed course with a free certificate.
