Google has announced the official rollout of Gemini 2.5 Pro and Deep Search inside AI Mode. It will improve the search experience. These Google features were initially available in the US. They are now being rolled out in India for users on Google AI Pro and AI Ultra plans.
Gemini 2.5 Pro is Google’s most advanced AI model, and is now built into AI Mode on Search, allowing users to pick from a dropdown menu. Gemini 2.5 Pro is considerably more powerful than Google’s previous capabilities, particularly for complex queries such as financial analysis, in-depth learning, and professional research.
Google’s Deep Search, also powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, is designed to run hundreds of searches in the background, reason across scattered data, and compile well-cited, detailed responses in minutes. This feature is particularly useful for students, researchers, and professionals working on time-intensive tasks.
Google has also launched an ‘agentic’ feature that enables AI-powered calling. With this, users can ask Search to contact local businesses, like pet groomers or dry cleaners, to check availability or pricing. Users simply need to select ‘Have AI check pricing’ after searching for a service.
The AI calling tool is now available to all users in the US, with Pro and Ultra users also receiving higher quotas. Gemini 2.5 Pro and Deep Search will begin rolling out this week for users opted in to the AI Mode experiment through Google Labs.
This strategic move will advance Google Search's standing as one of the most valuable tools available to help users navigate the digital information universe. It improves user productivity and further expands the breadth of available knowledge.
