Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 is reportedly bringing a new POI (Point of Interest). Early reports suggest that it could be one of the season’s biggest highlights. The upcoming season is scheduled to come out on 19 March 2026, after a short delay. Leaks also indicate that a mysterious landmark is to be added to the island once the season goes live.

The arrival of a new POI has become a key topic within the community. Dataminers have hinted that the map will have significant additions. Many players believe that this one location could reshape drop strategies and influence how matches unfold.

Rumors Regarding the New POI

Fortnite collaborations are common, and players expect every season to bring outstanding events that let them collect outfits and other themed rewards. The Chapter 7 Season 2 is almost at the door, and speculations regarding the new POI continue to grow.

An authentic Fortnite leaker, Hypex, shared on X (formerly Twitter) that a new POI is arriving on the map with the Season 2 update.

The post has no further details about the location, and assumptions are going wild. Some fans think it will be a central battle zone, while others expect unique mechanics tied to exploration or combat.

Chapter 7 has brought noticeable changes. A new landmark will shift traffic and become a hotspot for early game fights. If designed well, it could quickly dominate the map meta. However, Epic Games has not shared anything about the POI at the time of writing.

Crossovers in the Latest Season and the Delay of Season 2

From the beginning, Chapter 7 Season1 brought multiple crossovers that have kept the game active and culturally relevant. These collaborations brought themed skins and limited-time content that not only expanded the player base but kept loyal fans stuck to the game.

From Honkai Star Rail’s Kafka and Blade to Resident Evil Requiem’s Grace Ashcroft, Fortnite players received a range of limited-time events in the game with Chapter 7 Season 1. Though Season 2 was initially announced for 7 March 2026, Epic Games has shifted it to 19 March 2026.

The delay has disappointed players. They also want the developers to bring polished content. In this case, the extra development time may ensure the new POI launches without major issues.

If Epic Games successfully combines a polished landmark with crossover content, Season 2 will definitely begin on a high note.

Will the New Landmark Expand Fortnite’s Playerbase?

Players return to the game because of newly introduced points of interest. The new locations provide fresh gameplay experiences that drive players to discover new areas. If the upcoming landmark introduces meaningful changes, it will be equally attractive to returning players and newcomers.

Fortnite achieves its sustained success through ongoing transformations of its game elements. A well-developed point of interest combined with effective partnership agreements will increase player retention and drive in new players at the same time. The Fortnite community is expecting another major transformation, as there are predictions that the Chapter 7 Season 2 will take a new direction.
