Samsung's Stablecoin Account went live in Samsung Wallet on 5 November 2026, according to a company statement. Eligible Galaxy users in the United States can now buy, hold, send and receive USD Coin (USDC) on the Solana blockchain.
USDC is a digital token issued by Circle and designed to track the US dollar. Users reach the feature without installing a separate crypto app or managing private keys themselves. Samsung first announced the service on 7 October 2026 and had expected to launch it in the last week of that month.
Nearly 82 million Galaxy devices in the US are compatible with the service. Users must be at least 18 years old, hold a Samsung Account and run Android 13 or later.

The eagerly awaited Base upgrade was activated this Thursday. It is Denim, an improvement that drastically reduces canonical block generation time from two seconds to just 200 milliseconds, allowing the processing of up to five full blocks per second and permanently retiring the Flashblocks pre-confirmation system.
This technical leap represents a 10x latency improvement that puts Base’s performance on par with the most competitive high-frequency platforms in the ecosystem.
The cut to 200 ms minimizes slippage on decentralized exchanges (DEXs), favors the execution of real-time Web3 applications, and optimizes smart contract interaction, consolidating the rollup’s leadership within the Ethereum environment.
Starting with this implementation, node operators, RPC providers, and integrated protocols must synchronize their services with the new millisecond cadence to take advantage of the network’s native speed without generating infrastructure overcosts.
Ripple and C2FO want suppliers to receive early payments through the XRP Ledger. Their plan puts a dollar stablecoin at the centre of settlement, making the route from more business on the network to more demand for XRP worth examining.
Ripple and C2FO have outlined a supplier financing initiative on the XRP Ledger that would settle payments in RLUSD, a stablecoin designed to track the US dollar. The companies’ announcement links the project to C2FO Instant Pay. Its premise is that a supplier may qualify for early payment and still wait for money to travel through existing settlement infrastructure.
The invoice, the payment and the network fee tell different stories. Following each one shows where the project could generate activity on the XRP Ledger and where that activity would require someone to buy or hold XRP.
Zcash's NU7 upgrade went live at block 3,543,405 at 9:34 p.m. ET Thursday, shifting the blockchain network to 25-second blocks. Laura Shin reported that about 12,224 ZEC, valued at roughly USD 16 million, in the old Sprout pool can no longer be spent following the upgrade.
Shin has previously highlighted security developments across crypto platforms. In March, she relayed efforts by NEAR Intents GM Alex Shevchenko to develop Shield in response to a rise in AI-driven hacks. Separately, critics have compared the USD 250,000 bug bounty for the XRP Ledger infinite mint bug to Google Chrome rewards.
