Hunter Biden’s Memecoin Collapses

Hunter Biden's memecoin LAPTOP lost more than 95% of its value within one hour of trading opening on Base. A wallet analysis by Bubblemaps shows that 12,151 of 15,206 buyers lost money.

Bubblemaps reviewed every address that bought the token after launch. In total, 12,151 of the 15,206 wallets ended up underwater, or roughly 80%. Another 3,026 addresses turned a profit, while 29 sat at break-even or resisted assessment.

For the large majority, however, the losses stayed small. In fact, 11,311 wallets lost less than USD 1,000 each.

Pepe Whales Sold 80 Billion Tokens

Pepe (PEPE) remained under pressure on Thursday, trading near USD 0.00000348 after failing to overcome a crucial resistance level.

On-chain data shows that large holders have been reducing their positions, potentially increasing near-term selling pressure.

Wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million PEPE have collectively offloaded approximately 80 billion tokens since August 25. This substantial distribution suggests that larger investors are taking profits after the recent rally.

Over the same period, smaller and mid-sized wallets holding between 100,000 and 10 million PEPE accumulated a combined 5.06 billion tokens.

Secret Service Freezes USD 52.8 Million in Crypto

The United States Secret Service froze USD 52.8 million in the stablecoin USDT across 52 wallets linked to Xinbi Guarantee, an illegal marketplace operating on Telegram.

The operation was made possible by intelligence provided by blockchain analytics firm Elliptic, coordinated with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), which formally designated the platform as a transnational criminal organization.

Xinbi functioned as an escrow service facilitating the laundering of proceeds from global fraud schemes such as pig butchering, having processed more than USD 24 billion since 2022.

This action delivers a major blow to the underground financial infrastructure operating on Telegram and reinforces federal agencies’ ability to track flows on public blockchains.

India’s USD 2 Billion Grain Network Goes On-chain

Arya.ag has begun putting records connected to approximately USD 2 billion in stored crops on an Avalanche-based blockchain for agricultural lenders in India.

Reports on September 10 said the system records grain deposits, electronic warehouse receipts and loan status, enabling authorized lenders to verify crops offered as collateral. Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani announced the project at the Global Fintech Festival in Mumbai.

The USD 2 billion figure covers the estimated value of crops held across Arya.ag’s warehouse network. It does not represent the value of loans already recorded on the blockchain.
