A technical glitch on Bluesky has left users in the United States and the United Kingdom unable to access key features, with many reporting feeds stopped loading altogether.
The issue surfaced earlier in the day, with complaints quickly piling up on outage tracking platforms. Some users mentioned blank timelines, while others struggled to refresh content despite logging in.
Many users faced difficulties with the Home and Explore pages. Uploading posts became impossible, the timeline remained blank, and even refreshing the page did not resolve the problem. For some users, accounts displayed properly; however, updates on the platform were missing.
According to Down Detector, 1221 reports of Bluesky outages were reported across the US and 576 cases in the UK as of 3:45 pm (local time).
The majority of complaints came from the US and UK territories; there were also some notifications from other parts of Europe. Bluesky confirmed that it was investigating an incident affecting services.
The company later informed that recovery had begun in parts. However, it did not specify when full service would return. There was no detailed explanation, but early indications suggested a backend or service dependency issue.

Bluesky returned to functioning properly for some users at press time, though access remained inconsistent. For a platform still expanding its user base, such outages draw attention to the app’s reliability. Users are requested to wait patiently until Bluesky restores full service and clearly explains the cause of the disruption.
