U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded USD 409.5 million in net outflows on October 30, ending four straight sessions of inflows following Binance's USD 6.3 billion security breach. According to Farside Investors, Fidelity and Ark accounted for most withdrawals during the first full session after the attack. Meanwhile, BlackRock's IBIT had not reported its daily figures, leaving the total subject to change. Bitcoin remained near USD 77,382 despite the reversal in fund flows.

The withdrawals followed four sessions that brought USD 440.8 million into spot Bitcoin ETFs. Although the latest outflows nearly matched that amount, they remained below the USD 635.6 million recorded on October 22.

Bitcoin ETF Outflows Concentrate in Fidelity and Ark Funds

Farside Investors data showed that Fidelity's FBTC recorded USD 201 million in withdrawals on October 30. Ark's ARKB followed with USD 129.5 million, bringing their combined outflows to USD 330.5 million.

Together, the two funds accounted for approximately 81% of the reported daily total. Other products, including funds from Invesco, Valkyrie and VanEck, recorded zero net flows. Meanwhile, BlackRock's IBIT had yet to publish its October 30 figures. The missing data matters because IBIT accounted for most inflows during the preceding four sessions.

Between October 26 and October 29, IBIT attracted USD 410.6 million. That represented approximately 93% of the USD 440.8 million entering U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs during the period. Consequently, the October 30 total remains provisional until BlackRock reports its figures. A large IBIT withdrawal could push the final outflow beyond the current estimate.

Since their launch, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated approximately USD 57.3 billion in net inflows. The October 30 withdrawals represented roughly 0.7% of that cumulative amount.

Bitcoin ETF Inflow Streak Ends After Four Sessions

Before the Binance breach, Bitcoin ETFs recorded four consecutive sessions of positive flows. The funds attracted USD 110.3 million on October 26 and another USD 176 million the following day.

Inflows then reached USD 137.3 million on October 28 before slowing to USD 17.2 million on October 29. Together, those sessions generated USD 440.8 million in net inflows.

However, the October 30 withdrawals reversed most of that four-day total. The difference between the preceding inflows and the subsequent outflow amounted to approximately USD 850 million. The latest figures also followed larger withdrawals earlier in October. On October 22, spot Bitcoin ETFs lost USD 635.6 million, followed by another USD 137.9 million on October 23.

Those two sessions produced combined withdrawals of USD 773.5 million. The subsequent four-day inflow streak recovered approximately 57% of that amount before the Binance breach.

For now, the reported USD 409.5 million outflow remains below the October 22 figure. BlackRock's outstanding data will determine whether that comparison changes.

Bitcoin Holds Near USD 77,382 as Binance Fallout Continues

Bitcoin traded near USD 77,382 at approximately 03:25 UTC on October 31. Its price showed a decline of less than 0.1% over the preceding 24 hours.

The cryptocurrency also remained above the six-week low reached when Binance halted withdrawals on October 29. Despite the ETF withdrawals, Bitcoin had not recorded another comparable decline.

Meanwhile, blockchain tracing firms estimated that attackers stole 18,270 BTC during the breach. Those holdings carried an estimated value of USD 1.47 billion when the theft occurred.

The USD 409.5 million ETF withdrawal represented approximately 28% of that stolen Bitcoin value. Ether ETFs also recorded withdrawals as October became their heaviest outflow month in more than a year.

The next figures to monitor include BlackRock's October 30 report and subsequent ETF sessions. Bitcoin's position around USD 77,000 will also provide another measure of market activity following the breach.

Conclusion

Bitcoin ETF outflows reached USD 409.5 million after the Binance breach, with Fidelity and Ark accounting for 81% of withdrawals. The figure remained below October's earlier peak outflow, while Bitcoin held near USD 77,382. BlackRock's pending IBIT data will determine the final scale of the October 30 reversal.
