Apple’s foldable phone plans including the rumored iPhone Ultra are again back in the limelight. A latest leaked video shows what the company’s first foldable model could look like. Although there is no official confirmation yet.

The most interesting part of the leak is the possible return of Touch ID. Reports claim Apple may add a fingerprint scanner to the side button instead of placing it under the display. If true, it would be the first major return of Touch ID on a flagship iPhone in years.

Leaked iPhone Ultra Design and Features Revealed

Leaks suggest that the new foldable model will be released with the iPhone 18 series this Fall. While there are multiple leaked images spreading in the Apple community, the most recent one has shown that the phone will be a book-style foldable. When opened, it would offer a large inner display. A second screen on the outside could handle quick tasks without unfolding the phone.

The leaked video also shows a thin body and a refined hinge design. Along with that, the upcoming model may have a pill-shaped camera system, two sound buttons and a SIM-tray at the top of the phone.

Touch ID is another key part of the leak. Instead of relying only on Face ID, Apple may offer fingerprint unlocking through the power button. The phone is also expected to feature a USB Type-C charging port and stereo speaker setup.

Speculations suggest the phone will launch around September 2026, and in India, the pricing is expected to be around Rs. 2,15,000.

Is it Too Late for Apple to Enter the Foldable Market?

The foldable market has changed a lot over the past few years. Samsung, Huawei, Honor, and several other brands have already released multiple generations of foldable phones. This leaves Apple facing a simple question: Is it too late to enter the market?

The tech giant, however, is known for entering product categories after its rivals. The company usually waits until the technology matures before launching its own version. This strategy has worked before, but foldables are no longer a new idea. Apple will need to offer something different if it wants to stand out.

Apple vs Samsung: A Battle Nearly Seven Years in the Making

Samsung spent years building the Galaxy Z Fold lineup, and each generation feels like the models get improved. Meanwhile, Apple is moving at a slower pace.

If the iPhone Ultra shows up with a refined look and solid software support, it could pull in a lot of Apple fans who’ve been waiting for a foldable model. This will put pressure on Samsung. It could even shift how competition works in the premium smartphone space. Apple may be late to the foldables game, but its arrival could still change the race.
