Apple was aiming for a launch during the latter part of 2026. Delays could push shipments by several months, depending on how quickly engineers resolve these issues. The supply chain partners have been informed of the possibility of delays, indicating uncertainty in the manufacturing timeline.
At this stage, delays may not impact launches, but availability might be limited.
Apple has remained reluctant to enter the foldable market thus far, allowing others to develop several versions of such devices over the years. It wants to launch its own product in the new category once everything is confirmed.
