Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of GPU software components that meet industry standards.

• Promote innovation in GPU Computing and enhance performance/scalability of open source AI/ML software

• Lead/mentor others technically on all aspects of GPU Technology & High Performance Computing.

• Work with cross functional teams from hardware, software, and architecture areas

• Conduct research to improve efficiency of GPU performance through performance analysis.

• Document and maintain AMD's technical databases such as drivers, APIs, and Technical Documentation.

Experience Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in Computer Engineering or Software Development

• Strong C++ & Python skills

• Familiarity with common AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow/JAX) and tuning GPU Performance.

• Experience programming GPU kernels (CUDA, HIP, OpenCL)

• Knowledge of parallel computing frameworks such as MPI/NCCL/RCCL

• Experience working in an open source collaborative environment as well as working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Proven analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

Academic Requirements

• BE/B.Tech, M.Tech, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
