Skateboarding is one of the most celebrated sports, but unfortunately, when it comes to skateboarding simulation games, the genre is not that popular. Of course, multiple games are available, but most of them are not up to the mark. Therefore, the fans of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise have been asking for a new installment for a long time. Finally, their wait is about to end this July, with Activision officially releasing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4 on July 11, 2025.
After the massive success of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, the expectations of fans have become massive about the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 Reamster. Being a gamer who played games during the late 90s, it's hard for anyone to avoid the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games. The expectation is massive, and that’s the biggest challenge for the developer team to overcome.
However, the first trailer of the upcoming game shows that the developer team has worked hard to retain all the core mechanics that defined the original titles. Therefore, the 3 + 4 Remaster includes trick-based skateboarding, score challenges, and level objectives.

1. Enhanced Visuals: In the era of stunning visualizations, games can’t survive without impressive visuals. That’s why Activision is bringing a stunning 4K resolution with improved textures, smoother animations, and advanced lighting effects in the upcoming game.
2. Expanded Roster: The next feature that has won the hearts of gamers is the expanded roster of the remastered game, where legends like Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen will co-exist with contemporary skaters such as Rayssa Leal, Yuto Horigome, Jamie Foy, Chloe Covell, and Zion Wright.
3. Soundtrack: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games generally feature impressive songs, and some of these iconic songs are making their way to the remaster version coming this July. At this point, not all the tracks are announced, but some of the songs from the original releases, including artists like Motörhead and KRS-One, are complemented by new tracks that capture the essence of modern skate culture.
4. Online Multiplayer: The remastered version of the game will support multiplayer gameplay. As per the announcement, cross-platform play for up to eight players will be allowed. Alongside, it will offer various modes, from competitive matches to relaxed free skate sessions.
5. Creation Tools: Finally, the customization option is going to be added to allow gamers to choose their in-game skater’s appearance and style. This feature introduces the Create-A-Park mode, which provides enhanced tools for designing custom skate parks.
From the very moment of the game’s announcement, the pre-order of the remastered version has begun. Like most other games, it comes in different editions, and each of them offers some pre-order bonuses.
Here are the game editions and pre-order bonuses:
Standard Edition ($49.99): This edition comes at a lower price and offers only the base game. However, once players pre-order this version, they will get access to the Foundry Demo in June, which will feature two playable skaters and parks, with an exclusive Wireframe Tony Shader at launch.
Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99): This is the next edition that comes at a comparatively higher price and provides players with the base game, including three days of early access, additional in-game content inspired by Doom Eternal—such as the Doom Slayer and Revenant as playable characters—and extra music, skate decks, and customization items.
Collector's Edition ($129.99): This is the final edition that includes all the items and accessories from the Digital Deluxe edition with a limited edition Birdhouse skateboard deck, catering to dedicated fans and collectors.
Importantly, this game will be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from day one, providing subscribers with immediate access.
The game is still a little away, but as the July 11 release date approaches, fans are getting more excited about getting this long-awaited remaster version. Though, at this point, it’s hard to say how the remastered game will perform, but undoubtedly, this game promises a comprehensive and exhilarating skateboarding experience to gamers.
