Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE soon, featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 12GB RAM, and a 50MP camera. Leaks suggest it could launch under EUR 1,000, offering premium foldable features at a more accessible price point.
Samsung is reportedly gearing up to add to its foldable lineup with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a handset that will possibly offer premium-level specs at a significantly lower price tag. As a budget-friendly alternative to the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7, the Fan Edition model is shaping up more and more like anything but a stripped-down version.
Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could be released at the same time or relatively shortly after the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event, expected in July 2025. If this is the case, the new clamshell fold will share many components with its more expensive partner, including Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, and a reasonable dual camera array.
In a market where foldable phones are still considered luxury items, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could be a game-changer. Based on a report by Greek technology publication Techmaniacs, the phone is said to resemble the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in most important aspects. These feature a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED primary screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3.4-inch cover screen, and a 4,000mAh battery that also supports 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
At the center of the phone will probably be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, accompanied by as much as 12GB RAM and 512GB of built-in storage. This pairing puts the FE variant on par with several 2024 flagship phones despite its estimated reduced price.
Samsung’s foldables are becoming ever more known for their camera features, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE should be no exception. The phone can have a double rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens. A 10MP front camera can be placed on the inner screen for video calls and selfies. All three cameras are said to support recording 4K at 60 frames per second, a feature that is extremely rare in affordable phones.
Although Samsung hasn’t officially stated design details, leaked renders and rumors suggest a design language that is close to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 with some fine tweaks. The FE model will also come with Android 16-based One UI 8, with the latest software experience out of the box. The durability could also see an improvement with an IP48 rating for water and dust resistance.

Anyhow, the phone stands out as a great option for those who want high-end features with as few compromises on the budget as possible for the Flip 7.
Though Samsung is keeping mum on official details, many sources hint that the FE variant might see a July release either during or immediately after the Galaxy Unpacked ceremony. Nevertheless, there are some signs Samsung will stagger its launch to prevent it from directly clashing with that of the pricier Flip 7.
If the leaks are true, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could not only be a cheaper foldable but Samsung’s best value-for-money clamshell yet.
