CMF Phone 2 Pro Unveiled: Release Date, Price, and Exciting Features

Written By : Anurag Reddy

Today, smartphones can do more than just place calls: they take pictures, play games, and organize life. In India, where affordable but feature-rich phones are highly sought after, CMF by Nothing has established itself with its sleek designs and reasonable prices.

The CMF Phone 1, launched in July 2024, fascinated individuals with its distinctive design and good performance. Next up is everyone looking forward to the CMF Phone 2 Pro, whose launch date is marked as April 28, 2025, at 6:30 PM IST.

Priced at nearly ₹21,999, this phone promises superior cameras, a powerful chip, and a bundled charger; a rare move in today's market. Leaks and teasers by Smartprix and Hindustan Times indicate a product that blends form, science, and affordability. This article analyzes the timing of the launch, price, specifications, and features of the CMF Phone 2 Pro, tweaked for India's tech-savvy generation.

Launch Date and Event Highlights

The CMF Phone 2 Pro will go on sale in India and globally on April 28, 2025, at 6:30 PM IST, as declared by Nothing on social media. The live event, streamed online, will also launch three audio products: CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus. A Flipkart microsite suggests availability on the platform, with pre-bookings potentially beginning shortly after the launch.

Unlike the anticipated CMF Phone 2, the Pro version becomes the focus with top-notch upgrades, as pointed out by India Today. The launch is a follow-through on CMF's strategy of introducing high-value devices in the sub-₹25,000 range.

Price: Budget-Friendly But Premium

The CMF Phone 2 Pro should retail for ₹21,999 for the starting 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, with a 256GB version potentially retailing at ₹23,999, as per Digit. To put this into perspective, the CMF Phone 1 launched at ₹15,999, while the CMF Phone 2 is expected to launch at ₹19,999.

This pricing makes the Pro competitive with Vivo and Oppo in India's mid-range segment. One of the biggest selling points, as confirmed by Nothing's co-founder Akis Evangelidis, is that the box includes a 33W USB-C charger and case, defying the trend established by Apple and Samsung.

Design: Colorful and Personalizable

The CMF Phone 2 Pro maintains the company's signature theme, with dual-tone back cover in White and Orange, hinted at on X. Interchangeable back plates allow for customization, a facet loved on the CMF Phone 1. Two screws towards the rear, spotted in teasers, suggest easy panel swap.

An Essential Key, a side key for simple tasks such as opening apps or going to "Essential Space" (an AI-driven planner), adds convenience. The 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate guarantees colorful graphics, perfect for gaming and streaming, according to 91mobiles.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is fueled by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, which has a 10% faster CPU and 5% enhanced graphics compared to the Dimensity 7300 of the CMF Phone 1, reports Gadgets360. Alongside 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, it smoothly runs multitasking and games like BGMI at 120fps with a 1000Hz touch sampling rate.

Powered by Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.1, the phone provides a clean, customizable interface with AI features such as image enhancement. A 5000mAh battery with 50W fast charging provides long usage, according to Times Now.

Camera: A Photography Leap

The CMF Phone 2 Pro has a triple-camera setup, a significant improvement from the dual cameras of the CMF Phone 1. It has a 50MP Sony main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, according to Hindustan Times. There is a 32MP front camera for selfies.

This configuration, not common in the sub-₹22,000 category, is said to provide crisp shots and all-purpose shots, with AI for portraits and low-light pictures. The camera focus as per photography, reinforces CMF's teaser catchline, "In search of the perfect shot."

Why It Stands Out

The CMF Phone 2 Pro aims at India's value-conscious customers with premium features such as IP64 rating of dust and water resistance, in-display fingerprint reader, and multi-band 5G support.

The addition of a charger, colorful look, and optimizations for gaming make it a compelling option. As Digit informs, the modular phone and Essential Space feature provide a distinctive touch, the device standing out from its rivals such as the Vivo T4 or Moto Edge 60 Fusion, which are also set to roll out in April 2025.

Conclusion

The CMF Phone 2 Pro, with its April 28, 2025, launch, unites cost-effectiveness with premium capabilities. Its three cameras, fast chipset, and customizable design appeal to India's diverse smartphone consumers.  This phone, priced below ₹22,000, stands out in that it includes a charger and case.  With the growing presence of CMF by Nothing, this phone can transform mid-range expectations with unison in terms of style, power, and value.
