Things that Humans Can Do, but Artificial Intelligence Can’t

Artificial intelligence is capable enough but still, there are things that AI still can't perform

The idea of creating human-like technology emerged after World War II when scientists discovered that machines are more than just computing systems.

They found that machines can perform tasks like humans and anticipated a future where technology and humans go hand in hand.

Although their ideology was brave and paved the way for modern robotics, even in the 21st century, artificial intelligence can't do some things. Here, we take you through some of the tasks where artificial intelligence can't compete with humans.

Answer puzzled question

Artificial intelligence is well known for solving problems and providing data-driven answers. Humans might take days and months to figure out the solution, but machines can easily do it in real-time. Unfortunately, despite its calibre, artificial intelligence can't solve puzzling questions.

Solving complex aptitude problems with an algorithm is known as Hilbert's 10th problem. In 1982, a Russian mathematician proved that there is no general way to solve it.

Make moral decisions

People are used to making instantaneous moral decisions based on their quick analysis of their surroundings and the situation. However, machines can't do that. Artificial intelligence takes decisions based on the rules it is directed with. Although machines can obey the law perfectly, there is no assurance that it will be rational.

Invent something on their will

Scientifically speaking, human society grew from monkeys to mankind through a slow evolution. On our way to becoming what we are today, we invented a lot based on our needs. Even though machines are made to imitate humans, they can't invent anything of their will.

Learn through experience

As mentioned earlier, humans learned and invented things as they grew. But artificial intelligence is different. Machines are fed with data instead of being taught. Therefore, there is no process as learning from experience.

Write software

Software writing requires deep comprehension of the real world and the ability to transform those intricacies into rules. Despite bringing advancement and more computational power, artificial intelligence doesn't have the ability to understand and write software.
