Redmi is preparing to launch its K100 smartphone in China on October 27, 2026, focusing on gaming performance, display quality, and smoother gameplay. The Xiaomi sub-brand has revealed several key specifications ahead of the launch, including a 6.83-inch display, a 165Hz refresh rate and a dedicated D2 gaming graphics chip.
The handset will join the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which were launched in China in August. Pricing and international availability details are expected to be clarified around the launch.
The Redmi K100 will feature a 6.83-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. Redmi says the smartphone will support native 165fps gameplay in more than 40 games.
The display will also offer a 480Hz multi-finger touch reporting rate, a 3,500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and peak brightness of 3,500 nits. Xiaomi Green Mountain Eye Protection 4.0 will provide additional eye-care features.
The phone will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset alongside a dedicated D2 gaming graphics chip. In Honor of Kings, the company says the device can hit 144fps at ultra-high graphics settings while cutting average power consumption by 1.1W when the dedicated graphics feature is enabled.

Official images show a flat rear panel, a metal mid-frame and a horizontal camera module housing two cameras and an LED flash. The rear panel also carries the 'Sound by Bose' branding, indicating that Bose tuned the speakers in collaboration.
The smartphone will feature a flat display with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. Reports also say it will feature a green finish, described as Fluorescent Green or Flame Green.
The Redmi K100 will run HyperOS 4, based on Android 17. Xiaomi says the software includes improvements to system resource allocation, memory preloading, and the performance of its own applications.
Xiaomi has not announced the Redmi K100's official price. A previous report suggested a starting price of around CNY 3,500, approximately Rs 50,000, in China. The reported configuration includes 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, but these details remain unconfirmed until officially announced.
Redmi has confirmed the China launch for October 27, 2026, at 7 pm local time, or 4:30 pm IST. The company has not confirmed an India launch or wider international availability.
For now, the K100's high-refresh-rate display and gaming-focused hardware are its main highlights, with final pricing and regional availability still to be announced.
