"The September Effect" is here for cryptocurrency, and it's historically not a good time to be a digital coin investor. Traditionally speaking, the first month of fall in the Northern Hemisphere has proven to be one of the worst months of the year for cryptocurrency — and much of the same is expected this year.
There are a number of reasons why September has been a poor performing month for crypto, specifically Bitcoin, with some of those reasons being real and some being imagined fear. Whatever the reason behind it, the proof is in the pudding, as many major cryptos perform very bad in this month.
"The September Effect" alone should have many investors flocking from some of the crypto mainstays. But, there is a new meme coin that's about to hit the market that has already performed very well in presales and is bound to provide significant returns in a month when other cryptos simply disappoint.
It's called Tamadoge (TAMA), and it's taking the meme coin market by storm.
Bitcoin (BTC), the largest crypto market in the world, has historically had its worst month of the year every September. Over the last nine years, Bitcoin has only had two positive Septembers, and they only resulted in modest gains. On average, Bitcoin loses nearly 6% of its value in September, but many pundits are expecting an even worse September this year — with a drop to close to $17,000.
With that in mind, some investors are flocking to other crypto such as Ethereum, backed by the belief that the upcoming "Merge" will create immense value for Ether. While its price started to increase in the last week of August, it's still down 8.61% over the last 30 days, as of September 7.
Some people believe that the price of Ether could rise to $2,000 by the end of this year, which would represent a 23.3% increase from its September 7 close price of $1,621.72. But even those optimists don't believe the spike in price will happen until after this month — with potentially major losses coming before then.
Instead of trying to play the timing game with these cryptocurrencies — or any other for that matter — the smart move would be to shift focus to a new meme coin called Tamadoge.
As a new crypto that's re-defining the meme coin market, Tamadoge isn't likely to be subject to the same "September effect" that other cryptos are. For one, September doesn't instill fear into Tamadoge investors, if only because it doesn't have historical poor performance for people to analyze.
In addition, the entirely new approach it's taking is already proving to be wildly popular during presale. The Beta sale of TAMA ended well before the original projection date. With the presale doing so well — and with so few coins still available — now is the time to get in if you want take advantage of investing at the right time, when the market is new.
Tamadoge is the perfect combination of the NFT and Play-to-Earn (P2E) crypto markets. Users are able to groom, train and compete with their Doges on the Tamaverse, climbing up a monthly leaderboard in the process.
The P2E aspect helps to build concrete value in TAMA that's likely to only increase more and more as time goes on. This is in direct contrast to not only what larger cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum do, but it's also quite different than other meme coins.
As such, it has been able to carve out a relatively large niche in the market that not many other new meme coins are able to do.

While September has historically proven to be a lousy time for crypto performance, the month is looking quite bright for Tamadoge.
