Begin by unlocking your iPhone. On your home screen, look for the Settings icon, it’s grey and shaped like gears. Tap it to open the main settings menu. From here, you can adjust just about anything on your device, including keyboard functions like autocorrect.

Once you’re inside Settings, scroll down until you find the General option. Tap it. The General settings section houses system-wide controls, including language, software updates, and, most importantly for us, the Keyboard settings.

Step 4 – Turn Off Auto-Correction
Now, locate the toggle labeled Auto-Correction. If it’s green, that means it’s turned on. Tap the switch to turn it grey, which means it’s now OFF. Your iPhone will stop automatically correcting your words while typing.
