Is Sony Bringing Ghost of Yotei PS5 & DualSense controllers to India?

Global Release & Limited Editions: Sony is releasing Ghost of Yōtei for PS5 globally on October 2, 2025, alongside two visually distinctive limited editions, Black (inspired by Sumi-e ink painting) and Gold (inspired by kintsugi). The bundles include a disc-drive console and a matching DualSense controller, with pre-orders announced at a later date.

Unique Artistic Themes: These limited editions emphasize traditional Japanese artistry. The Black version reflects sumi-e brushstrokes, while Gold incorporates kintsugi’s golden repair symbolism. The designs weave in motifs such as Mount Yotei, Atsu’s map icons, and her Ghost mask, crafting hardware that’s both functional and deeply thematic. 

Accessory Options for Existing Owners: Sony acknowledged current PS5 owners by offering console covers styled like the full editions. These allow users to upgrade the look of their device affordably without buying a full bundle, making the thematic hardware accessible even without buying a new console. 

India: Reports of Controller Availability: Reports suggest that Sony may bring just the themed DualSense controllers to India, with two variants, black and gold, as standalone offerings. These are rumored to cost around Rs. 7,490, similar to previous limited editions like the Death Stranding 2 controller.

Uncertain Bundle Availability in India: While global markets will get the full console bundles, their availability in India remains unconfirmed. Some reports hint that Indian gamers may only see the controllers, not the entire PS5 limited editions. Fans remain hopeful that Sony will extend bundle availability here, too, but nothing is official yet.

Pre-Order Timelines & Festive Potential: Global pre-orders for the hardware are expected to start around early September. Combined with India’s upcoming festive season, this timing could work in favor of a special rollout. If Sony aligns with past strategies, India may see early access timed around festivals, but Sony’s official confirmation is still pending.
