OnePlus 15R leads for sustained gaming performance and high-load workloads.
iQOO 15R offers the biggest battery, fastest charging and gaming-focused hardware.
Motorola Edge 70 Max is the strongest all-rounder with a QHD+ display and wireless charging.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max, OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R now sit close to each other in the performance phone race. All three phones use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, so the chip alone does not decide the winner.
Battery size, heat control, screen quality, software support and current price create the real gap. At current India prices, the Edge 70 Max starts at Rs. 54,999, the iQOO 15R starts at Rs. 53,999, while the OnePlus 15R starts at Rs. 59,999.
The three phones share the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, with two prime cores clocked at up to 3.8GHz and six performance cores clocked at up to 3.3GHz. Motorola pairs the chip with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. The OnePlus 15R offers 12GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB storage, plus a new 16GB and 512GB version. The iQOO 15R offers 8GB or 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
Benchmark results show a mixed picture. Digit recorded 3,095,875 points for the Edge 70 Max on AnTuTu, while the OnePlus 15R scored 2,892,035. The same tests gave the Motorola 2,787 single-core and 9,077 multi-core points on Geekbench 6.
The OnePlus scored 2,886 single-core and 9,535 multi-core points. iQOO claims 3,588,128 points on AnTuTu for the 15R, although that result comes from the company rather than the same independent test lab.
Raw benchmark speed does not tell the full story. Long game sessions put more pressure on the cooling system, and the OnePlus 15R shows a strong result here. Digit recorded about 92 percent peak CPU retention in its throttle test.
The Edge 70 Max reached about 65 percent in the same type of test. A separate 91mobiles Burnout test gave the OnePlus 15R a 53.5 percent sustained score, ahead of the Edge 70 Max at 38 percent and the iQOO 15R at 33.6 percent.
The OnePlus 15R also has a 5,704mm² Cryo-Velocity 3D vapour chamber. Its 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen reaches 165Hz, which gives the phone a clear advantage for high-frame-rate games. Digit recorded about 159fps in BGMI and about 120fps in Genshin Impact during its tests. Those figures make the OnePlus 15R a strong choice for long sessions with demanding titles.

The iQOO 15R has the largest battery of the three at 7,600mAh. It also offers 100W FlashCharge and a 6,500mm² IceCore VC cooling system. A Q2 supercomputing chip adds more game-focused hardware, while the 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED screen keeps the focus on high frame rates.
The OnePlus 15R follows with a 7,400mAh battery and 80W charging. The Edge 70 Max carries a 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired charging. Motorola adds 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, a feature absent from the OnePlus and iQOO models.
The Edge 70 Max has the sharpest screen here. Its 6.82-inch Extreme AMOLED panel offers Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 × 3168 pixels, 510ppi and a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone also has IP68 and IP69 protection and MIL-STD-810H durability certification.
That combination gives Motorola a broader appeal. The OnePlus 15R has the highest 165Hz refresh rate, while the iQOO 15R has the smallest 6.59-inch 1.5K 144Hz panel. Motorola instead places more weight on resolution, battery size and charging flexibility.
The OnePlus 15R once had a much stronger value position, but its current Rs. 59,999 price makes the decision harder. The new 16GB and 512GB version adds more memory and storage, but price remains a key concern.
The iQOO 15R now starts at Rs. 53,999 for 8GB and 256GB. Its 12GB and 256GB model costs Rs. 59,999, while 12GB and 512GB costs Rs. 66,999. Motorola starts at Rs. 54,999 for 8GB and 256GB, while 12GB and 256GB cost Rs. 59,999.

The OnePlus 15R takes the performance crown when sustained speed and game performance matter most. Its strong throttling results, 165Hz display and large battery create the best high-load package.
The iQOO 15R makes the strongest case for battery life and gaming hardware. Its 7,600mAh cell, 100W charging, Q2 chip and 6,500mm² cooling system give the phone serious endurance credentials.
The Edge 70 Max offers the most balanced hardware set. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, QHD+ 144Hz screen, 7,100mAh battery, 90W wired power and 25W magnetic wireless charging make the phone more versatile than the price suggests.
At current prices, the Edge 70 Max looks like the safest all-round choice near Rs. 55,000. The iQOO 15R makes more sense for battery-first buyers, while the OnePlus 15R earns the top spot for sustained performance. The final choice rests less on Snapdragon speed and more on the type of performance that matters most.
