XRP Holds Long-Term Support as Short-Term Pressure Builds

XRP remains below its hourly SMA-20 and SMA-50, which points to continued short-term weakness. Still, the token trades above its daily SMA-200, preserving a major long-term support area.

Immediate resistance sits near the Ichimoku Kijun at USD 1.4148. MACD, RSI, CCI, Bull/Bear Power, and the Awesome Oscillator all show sell-side pressure, while ADX remains neutral. The Stoch RSI has moved into oversold territory, which may signal fading downside momentum. XRP also trades near the session low, with low volatility and a small negative gap.

September 11 XRPL Amendment Approaches Mainnet Activation

The XRP Ledger plans to activate fixCleanup3_3_0 on September 11, 2026, if validator support stays above the required threshold. The bundled amendment introduces several protocol fixes through community consensus.

The scheduled change reflects XRPL's validator-led governance process and aims to improve network stability. So far, the planned activation has not produced an immediate shift in XRP price action.

For the next trading day, XRP has a projected range of USD 1.3697 to USD 1.4473. The downside probability stands at 76%, while the upside breakout probability remains at 24%.

Their average value reached USD 3.72 billion in Q2 2026, more than 3,000% above the level recorded one year earlier. RLUSD also expanded quickly. Its average balance reached USD 539 million in Q2 2026, up 642% from USD 73 million a year earlier, while its XRPL stablecoin share rose to 34%.

RLUSD transaction value increased 925% year over year. At the same time, daily active accounts fell to 16,587 from a prior peak of 33,145, and new wallets dropped to 2,783.

However, XRP traded per active account remained 2.7 times above its starting level despite a 15% quarterly decline in Q2. The September 11 amendment adds a network event to watch as traders track support, resistance, validator backing, and changing transaction activity.
