The wait is finally over for SuperStation One owners. The Console Mode update is now available after months of delays. This is one of the biggest updates the console has received since its launch. The feature was announced before the system was released, but the developers decided to spend more time fixing issues before making it public.

On July 29, 2026, Taki Udon posted on X, “We delayed this release from last month until today to fix issues and to cook. Here’s a new game view called Big Grid. It looks great on CRT.”

SuperStation One is an FPGA-based retro console made for classic PlayStation games. The new Console Mode gives it a cleaner and more console-like look. Instead of using a desktop-style screen, players now get a simple menu that is easier to use with a controller. The team said that it delayed the update to ensure everything worked properly and to offer a better experience from day one.

New Features Make the Update Worth the Wait

Console Mode is only one part of this update. Players also get a new Grid View that makes game libraries easier to browse. Support for RetroAchievements has also been added, letting players unlock achievements while playing supported classic games

The update also enhances the menu layout, making it faster to locate games and settings. In addition, several bugs reported by users have been fixed by the developers. They also made performance changes that allow the system to run more smoothly in day-to-day use.

A Better Experience for Every Player

This update makes the SuperStation One feel faster, cleaner, and easier to use. Small improvements across the system make everyday gaming more enjoyable.

The update may have arrived later than most would have liked, but it’s made enough changes to make the wait feel worth it. The SuperStation One is now a more compelling experience for new and longtime retro gaming fans alike with a better interface, smoother performance, and useful new features.
