Sony included features such as DSEE Extreme, Personal NC Optimizer, Ambient Sound Mode and Quick Attention. A detachable 1.2-metre audio cable is also included with the headphones.

The WH-1000XM4C is the most premium model among the three. It features an over-ear design and active noise cancellation. Sony also introduced updated sound tuning and a 10-band equaliser on the headphones.

The model comes with 40mm drivers and weighs 253 grams. It supports SBC, AAC and LDAC audio codecs. The headphones also offer multipoint connectivity, allowing users to connect two devices at the same time.

The WH-CH730N is positioned below the WH-1000XM4C in Sony’s new headphone lineup. It has a foldable over-ear design and weighs around 207 grams. The headphones come with 30mm drivers and support active noise cancellation.

Sony included Dual Noise Sensor technology on the WH-CH730N. It also features Precise Voice Pickup Technology for clearer calls. The headphones use AI-based noise reduction to help reduce unwanted background sounds during conversations.

The WH-CH730N also supports DSEE technology and Ambient Sound Mode. Users can connect the headphones to two devices through multipoint connectivity. Sony also allows users to adjust the sound through customisable audio settings.

Sony claims the WH-CH730N can deliver up to 50 hours of playback with noise cancellation switched on. Battery life can increase to 75 hours when ANC is turned off. This makes it suitable for users who want longer listening time.

The WH-CH530 is the most affordable headphone in Sony’s new lineup. It has an on-ear design with 30mm drivers. The model supports DSEE, customisable EQ settings and multipoint connectivity.

The WH-1000XM4C is priced at USD 296.97. The WH-CH730N costs USD 135.59, while the WH-CH530 is priced at USD 67.78

Sony says all three models will go on sale in the UK from September 10, 2026. The WH-1000XM4C will be available in Black, Lavender and Platinum Silver. The WH-CH730N and WH-CH530 will also come in several additional color options.

Sony also added AI-powered noise reduction for calls on the WH-CH530. The company claims the headphones can provide up to 55 hours of playback on a full charge. A three-minute quick charge can provide up to 1.5 hours of listening time.
