OnePlus is gearing up to start 2025 with a grand global launch event on January 7. The much-anticipated event will showcase the OnePlus 13 series, including the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R. The OnePlus 13R is reportedly a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5, which is set to debut in China soon.
Alongside these smartphones, the company will introduce the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 TWS earphones in an elegant new Sapphire Blue color variant, adding more excitement to the launch.
One Plus confirmed via an X that the OnePlus 13R will be available in select global markets, including India, as confirmed via an X post by OnePlus. Its design has been teased on the company's Indian website and a live Amazon microsite. The handset will be available in a striking Astral Trail shade, with a second Nebula Noir option set to join.
The design closely resembles the base OnePlus 13 model. It features a large, circular camera module on the upper-left side of the rear panel, housing three sensors and an LED flash. The power button and volume rocker are conveniently placed on the right edge.
Official upgrades include a 4650mAh battery, which OnePlus has boosted from the 6,000mAh cell on the OnePlus 12R. Other features expected to be incorporated in the phone include artificial intelligence for notes, photos and a green line worry-free lifetime warranty.
Regarding the expected performance we are looking at an expected Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 12GB of RAM and Android 15-based OxygenOS 15. The smartphone will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,264 x 2,780 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Extra features include a 50 MP triple rear camera, 16 MP front self-pressed camera, inconspicuous IR, and 80W Super Flash Charge.
OnePlus will also launch a new Sapphire Blue color for the Buds Pro 3 at the Winter Launch Event. Priced at ₹11,999, the TWS earphones initially debuted in Lunar Radiance and Midnight Opus shades in August.
