Meesho shares rose nearly 5% to Rs. 245.45 on October 12. This is the highest peak the e-commerce platform has reached in the last 10 months. The rise came after the company's Mega Blockbuster Sale 2026 got off to a strong start. As the sale started, the day 1 order count increased by 75% from a year earlier, while the number of customers placing orders grew 60%. At one point, the platform handled more than 75,000 orders per minute. Meesho shares gained around 34% in 2026, even as the broader market struggled.
In the areas where the company saw the most demand, the filing said, “Transacting customers grew 60 per cent YoY, with strong demand across Fashion, Home & Kitchen, Beauty & Personal Care, Kids and Electronic Accessories.” Further, the company reported that this growing demand on the platform creates opportunities for more sellers across categories and geographies to participate in the festive season.
Investors are also looking at Meesho's July-September quarter. The full Q2 results were not yet available; however, analysts expect revenue to rise 28.5% year-on-year and net merchandise value to grow 17.2% to Rs. 12,300 crore. These are estimates, not confirmed results. The strong start to the festive sale has raised hopes that more customers and sellers will help the company grow.

Meesho is not the only platform seeing strong festive sales. Amazon reported a 100% rise in products ordered during the opening phase of its Great Indian Festival. Flipkart recorded 6.3 million online users during the first hour of its Big Billion Days sale. New customers on Flipkart rose 34%. Smaller cities also played an important part in sales on both platforms.
The early sale figures point to rising online shopping demand across India. Meesho now needs to keep this pace after the festive season and turn higher order numbers into better financial results.
