Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro has a very different price tag depending on where you buy it. In the US, the 256GB model starts at USD 1,199. In Turkey, the same phone costs 1,49,999 Turkish lira. The 2TB version goes up to 255,999 lira. The iPhone Duo is even more costly. It starts at 229,999 lira in Turkey and reaches 335,999 lira for the 2TB model.

The US is not the only market where the iPhone 18 Pro is still affordable, though placed at the top of the premium segment. The starting price is Rs. 1,64,900 in India, AED 5,099 in the UAE, JPY 219,800 in Japan, and CAD 1,749 in Canada.

However, the scenario changes when it comes to iPhone Duo. While India stands at 23rd in the Pro model, it ranks up to 3rd when we talk about Duo. iPhone Duo costs Rs. 2,99,900 and reaches Rs. 4,49,900 for the 2TB model.

Turkey may have the biggest price tag, but India has its own problem. For many Indian buyers, these prices put Apple's newest phones firmly in the luxury category.  Local taxes, import costs, and other charges help explain the difference. Turkey also has a weaker local currency, which makes the gap look even bigger when prices are converted to dollars.

Turkey set its net minimum wage at 28,075.50 lira for 2026. If the iPhone 18 Pro comes at 137,999 lira, it’s about 4.9 months of that wage. To be more precise, Deutsche Bank put Istanbul's average monthly net salary at USD 1,173. Therefore, buying an iPhone 18 Pro will cost buyers about 2.4 months of average take-home pay in the country's richest city.

The jump to 2TB is especially costly. Buyers who need huge storage will have to pay a large premium over the base models. The US remains one of the cheaper places to buy the phones, while markets such as India and Turkey carry much higher prices.
