Insta360 has launched a new wireless microphone aimed at content creators who want better audio without paying for a professional-grade setup. Called Insta360 Mic, the device brings features such as internal audio recording, AI-powered noise reduction, and a customizable display to a compact microphone designed for everyday video production.
The new microphone sits between the company's entry-level Mic Air and flagship Mic Pro. It is designed for vloggers, livestreamers, travelers, and creators who regularly record interviews or short-form videos.
One key feature is a built-in microSD card slot that lets the transmitter record audio independently of a connected phone or camera. With a compatible card inserted, users can record in 32-bit float, which gives more flexibility when adjusting audio levels in editing.
This is especially useful for unpredictable sounds, such as a loud crowd or a conversation in a busy location. The separate recording also serves as a backup if the camera's audio has issues. Without a microSD card, the microphone can still transmit audio through its receiver or a supported Bluetooth connection.
Insta360 has included a dedicated AI audio-processing chip to reduce background noise while keeping voices clear. Automatic gain control helps manage changing volume levels, while three voice presets- Regular, Rich, and Bright- let creators adjust how their voices sound.
The transmitter also features a 1.22-inch color E-Ink display. Users can personalize it with logos, emojis, or other images, making it easier to identify microphones during interviews and group recordings.

The new microphone is built to handle more than solo recording. A single receiver can connect up to four transmitters, making it suitable for interviews and podcasts involving several speakers. Two transmitters can also send audio to up to four receivers for multi-camera shoots.
Compatible Insta360 cameras, including the X6, X5, GO Ultra, and Ace Pro 2, support direct Bluetooth audio recording without a separate receiver. Insta360 claims up to 13 hours of operation per transmitter and up to 34 hours with the charging case.

With expandable storage, voice-processing features, and flexible connectivity, the new Mic gives creators another option between a basic wireless microphone and a more expensive professional system.
