An Xbox player has managed to secure the Grand Theft Auto VI Ultimate Edition without paying out of pocket as he redeemed Microsoft Rewards points. The trick has piqued gamers’ interest since it offers a legal way to save money when buying one of this year's most sought-after games. This is made possible using the Microsoft Rewards program, where you can earn points from common activities and convert them into Xbox Store credits.

Microsoft Rewards Makes it Possible

The Microsoft Rewards program enables Xbox gamers to earn points through Bing Searches, daily quizzes, shopping via Microsoft services, and completing Xbox Game Pass and console quests. Over time, users can redeem those points for Xbox Gift Cards.

One can use the credits to buy digital games from the Xbox Store. Gamers who have been collecting Rewards points over the years might be able to save enough to pay for a big part of GTA 6’s actual price. Some gamers have saved up enough to buy the game using only Rewards points.

One Xbox player managed to obtain GTA 6 at no out-of-pocket cost; however, there is no loophole whatsoever. The transaction was made using only Microsoft Rewards points, which were redeemed for credits on the Xbox Store. This makes the Microsoft Rewards program able to help Xbox players to reduce the cost of digital purchases.

GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Offers Premium Content

Rockstar Games has revealed the contents of the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition package. The package includes exclusive vehicles, weapons, costumes, and shops. Consistency should work to one’s advantage instead of participating only once. Even if users do not have enough points to cover the full cost of GTA 6, they can still use their Rewards balance to reduce the price.

The Ultimate Edition is priced at $99.99, whereas the Standard Edition is $79.99. GTA 6 will be released on November 19, 2026, for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
