An early Galaxy S26 Ultra unit has surfaced online, offering the first real-world look at Samsung’s new Privacy Display feature ahead of launch. Privacy Display is the signature feature of Galaxy S26 Ultra, which was just revealed in real life. A retail store in Dubai is already selling the latest flagships, which were revealed several days before the official release.

What Is the Privacy Display Feature?

Tech YouTuber Sahil Karoul took to X (previously Twitter) and Instagram to reveal that he managed to purchase a Galaxy S26 Ultra in Dubai early. The updated design of Galaxy S26 Ultra looks nice in its white color variant, but one post shows that the S Pen sticks out a bit oddly when inserted backwards.

If you turn on the feature, the display goes black at off-angles. The feature is backed by Flex Magic Pixel, and the company internally calls it Zero-Peeking Privacy. The South Korean tech giant has integrated a switchable optical layer directly into the panel stack. When the users turn privacy mode off, they will get full color accuracy and the panel’s full brightness.

How Galaxy S26 Ultra Builds on Samsung’s Flagship Legacy

The Galaxy S26 Ultra appears to continue Samsung’s tradition of pushing premium innovation, particularly in display and security technologies. The new Privacy Display feature signals a stronger focus on user protection, productivity, and high-end differentiation in the competitive flagship smartphone market.

Based on early teasers and the latest leak, Samsung is layering intelligence on top of the panel with Auto Privacy, selective masking, and app-specific triggers. Samsung began the Galaxy S26 Ultra teasers with Privacy Display alone. Later teaser doubled down on this technology.

This feature gives Samsung a wide edge over Apple as it has not integrated hardware-level privacy filtering into its iPhones.

Launch Timeline and What to Expect

According to leaks, Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 5,000 mAh battery, which provides 31 hours of video playback on a single charge. They came with a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 5x zoom. It also features a 12-megapixel front camera. Galaxy S26 Ultra also has a larger corner radius than the last generation, which enhances its overall look and makes it more rounded.

he 256GB variant is expected to be priced near EUR 1,469/$1,741. The leaks did not reveal any price for the 512GB and 1TB variants, which will be higher. The company might justify the prices with increased base storage, improved internals, and AI-driven software features.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will be officially launched on February 25.
