EA Sports FC 27 could be released in late September 2026. Rumors suggest that, now that the FIFA World Cup is over, EA Sports FC will soon release its annual gaming entry. Following the tradition since the launch of FIFA 06, EA is expected to bring the upcoming entry on the last Friday of September, though there’s no official news regarding the game yet.
Once the game receives a global release date, players who buy special editions may also get early access a few days before the full launch. Additionally, the reports also point to a few gameplay updates and improvements across different modes. Career Mode and Ultimate Team are expected to receive changes, while better player movement is something that players have been demanding from the studio.
There’s no confirmation of the cover star yet, but an FC 27 leaker, DetectiveFUT, has claimed that Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham will be on the Standard Edition’s cover for a third year in a row along with Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé. For the Ultimate edition, the leaker claimed that fans will find Cristiano Ronaldo on the cover.
EA is pretty regular with its sports simulation games. Every year, it releases the annual installments following a typical pattern. Since FIFA 06 was launched in the mid-2000s, the company has been following the tradition of releasing new FIFA installments every year on the last Friday of September.
So, if we rely on this pattern, FC 27 will launch on September 25, 2026. Again, there’s a pattern that EA follows for marketing. Every year, the upcoming FIFA title is announced by mid-July. It seems the publisher is a bit late this year.
The official reveal is still pending, but another leak suggests that the upcoming FIFA game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the original Nintendo Switch.
