Solana's Alpenglow upgrade aims to achieve 150-millisecond finality, while Cardano faces bearish pressure near the crucial USD 0.220 support level.
Aave introduced a V3.8 upgrade proposal using Ethereum's EIP-1153 standard to strengthen reentrancy protection and improve smart contract security.

A wallet linked to the Indian crypto exchange CoinDCX witnessed a breach. On-chain data linked a sudden outflow of funds from a wallet previously known to belong to the exchange. The exchange denies that the wallet is currently under its control, claiming it was falsely flagged on Arkham Intelligence.
‘The addresses tagged by Arkham used to belong to CoinDCX before last year's hack. These addresses were generated in Jan 2025 and were compromised in the previous hack in July 2025. The hackers seem to be re-using the old wallet addresses and this sounds like a false alarm,’ explained on X the exchange’s co-founder Sumit Gupta. The wallet transfers were noted late on October 21, moving USD 15.99 million in USDT and 5,783.81 TRX.
Cardano remained under pressure on Thursday, trading below USD 0.220 after buyers failed to sustain the previous day’s recovery above the 50-day Exponential Moving Average. The rejection leaves ADA below its 50-day and 200-day EMAs, maintaining a bearish near-term outlook. Price is now hovering just above the 100-day EMA around USD 0.220.
CoinGlass data showed Cardano’s long-to-short ratio at 0.96 on Thursday, nearing its lowest level in more than a month. The first support to watch is the 100-day EMA near USD 0.220. A sustained break below that level would bring the USD 0.210 area into focus.

Solana (SOL) is recovering after last week’s correction, with buyers defending the USD 95-USD 100 demand zone amid major network upgrades. Solana announced that Alpenglow is now live on the Solana mainnet, cutting network processing times from approximately 12.8 seconds and aims to achieve 150 milliseconds finality.
Just hours after the announcements, the network reported USD 585,000 in daily SOL ETF inflows. SOL must maintain buying pressure and demand rather than reacting quickly to the upgrade, to strengthen the case for bullish outlook holding above the demand zone between USD 95 and USD 100 would help preserve the recovery structure.
Aave Labs founder and CEO, Stani Kulechov, presented on Wednesday the technical upgrade proposal for Aave V3.8. Thanks to this upgrade, the accounting security of the decentralized lending protocol will be reinforced through the integration of a reentrancy protection mechanism.
The initiative leverages Ethereum’s EIP-1153 standard to neutralize theoretical exploit vectors during external call returns, mitigating the historical gas costs associated with this type of code barrier.
The move represents a key step in Aave’s institutional consolidation within the DeFi ecosystem by ensuring a more resilient infrastructure against smart contract synchronization risks without penalizing operational efficiency.
