OpenAI has started hiring for its newly announced office in New Delhi. The company has released its first set of job postings in India, according to Times of India (TOI). The ChatGPT maker confirmed its plans to expand into the country last week. CEO Sam Altman is expected to visit next month, marking his second trip to India in less than a year.

OpenAI Job Openings in Sales Department

According to the OpenAI jobs page, it is currently recruiting for three senior roles in its sales team. All three positions are at the Account Director level and cover different client segments:

  • Account Director, Digital Natives

  • Account Director, Strategics

  • Account Director, Large Enterprise

The listing for the Large Enterprise role highlights that the sales team’s mission is to help businesses ‘understand the deep impact that highly capable AI models can bring’. The role combines technical expertise, strategy, and customer engagement, with responsibilities spanning the full sales cycle, from pipeline generation to deal closure.
