boAt launched its new Aavante Bar Prime soundbar series in India in August 2026, with the B450 and Thunder-D models priced under Rs. 15,000, bringing Dolby Atmos-ready surround sound to budget home theatre setups

What The Series Brings To The Table

The Aavante Bar Prime range includes three models: the DA600, the B450 and the Thunder-D, priced between Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 18,999. The lineup is part of boAt's larger push into home audio, built to handle movies, OTT content, gaming, live sports and music through a single device.

The B450 fits comfortably under the Rs. 15,000 mark. It delivers 450W of output with a 5.2-channel surround setup, dual wired subwoofers and rear satellite speakers, offering a fuller sound stage than a standard two-channel bar.

The Thunder-D sits at the entry point of the range with Dolby Audio support and balanced acoustics, meant for users moving up from a television's built-in speakers without spending too much. Connectivity stays consistent across the series, with Bluetooth v5.3, HDMI eARC, USB, AUX and optical inputs, so the soundbars pair easily with TVs, gaming consoles and other devices at home.

The flagship DA600 pushes further with 600W output, Dolby Atmos support and dual rear satellite speakers, though its price runs closer to Rs. 19,000 and sits above the Rs. 15,000 cutoff most buyers in this segment are shopping within.

Why This Segment Is Growing

More households are streaming content, gaming and watching live sports at home, and this shift is driving demand for audio setups that outperform a television's default speakers. Soundbars have become the preferred fix over bulky multi-speaker home theatre systems, largely because they take up less space and are simpler to set up.

For buyers working with a tighter budget, the B450 offers most of the series' surround sound features at a lower price, while the Thunder-D works as a straightforward, no-frills upgrade. The series is available through boAt's website, Amazon, Flipkart, and offline retail stores across the country.
