

Arthur Hayes bought 1.9 million Ether.fi tokens for $1.17 million at $0.62 each, returning to ETHFI after selling the asset at a loss in April. His new entry came about 41% above his previous sale price. ETHFI traded at $0.631 at press time after gaining 11.1% in 24 hours.
Lookonchain reported the transaction roughly four hours after it settled. The onchain analytics account also pointed to the difference between Hayes’ latest purchase price and his previous ETHFI exit. Earlier, Hayes sold 265,461 ETHFI at $0.44 per token in April. The transaction generated roughly $118,000 and resulted in a loss on the position.
His latest purchase marks a much larger ETHFI position. At $0.62 per token, Hayes paid about 41% more than the price at which he previously sold the asset. The transaction also continues a trading pattern recorded across wallets associated with Hayes. Lookonchain described the latest move as another instance of selling at a lower price before buying back higher.
For now, the new position remains slightly above its entry level. ETHFI traded at $0.631 at press time, compared with Hayes’ reported purchase price of $0.62.
Meanwhile, ETHFI gained 25.3% over the past week as the broader cryptocurrency market advanced. The token outperformed Bitcoin, which recorded a 21.4% weekly increase. Ethereum still posted the stronger performance during the same period. ETH gained 27.8%, putting its weekly advance ahead of both ETHFI and Bitcoin.
At the same time, ETHFI rose 11.1% over 24 hours and reached $0.631. Its market capitalization stood at $649.7 million, ranking the cryptocurrency 92nd by market value. Despite those gains, ETHFI remains far below its previous record. The token still trades about 93% below the $8.53 all-time high it reached in March 2024.
The supplied figures did not include ETHFI's latest trading volume. Still, its weekly performance placed the token among the stronger performers cited during the broader market advance.

BeInCrypto reviewed three wallets linked to Hayes and recorded $2.47 million in losses across 124 trades from December 2023 through August 2026. ETHFI contributed $474,000 to those losses. By comparison, Ethena represented the only profitable position in the reviewed trading record. Hayes’ ENA transactions generated $3.23 million in gains, according to the supplied figures.
The earlier ETHFI trade forms part of that record. Hayes sold 265,461 tokens at $0.44 before returning with a 1.9 million-token purchase at $0.62. Can the latest ETHFI trade break that pattern if the token faces another drawdown? For now, the new position remains marginally above Hayes’ latest entry price.
ETHFI’s next performance will determine how the position develops from its $0.62 entry. The token remains 93% below its March 2024 record despite its 25.3% weekly advance.
