Apple has announced a special media event for October 28, teasing the launch with the tagline “Pro and tell.” The event will take place in Los Angeles at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, marking the company's second product experience in October 2026.
Apple's marketing chief, Greg Joswiak, teased the announcement on social media alongside the event artwork. While Apple has confirmed the date, time, and location, it has not officially revealed which products it will announce.
The event is expected to focus on the Mac lineup, with a redesigned MacBook Pro featuring a touchscreen and OLED display among the most anticipated announcements. A refreshed iPad mini and other Mac updates are also rumored.
One of the biggest expected announcements is a redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with OLED displays and touchscreen support. If the reports prove accurate, this would mark a major change for Apple's professional laptop lineup.
The new models are also rumored to feature a Dynamic Island-style cutout and a lighter design. Reports suggest they could use Apple's M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, while a separate entry-level MacBook Pro refresh may arrive with an M6 chip. Apple has not yet confirmed these specifications.
Apple could use the event to introduce an updated iMac powered by its M6 processor. The new desktop is expected to retain a design similar to the current model, with the main changes focused on internal hardware.
A redesigned iPad mini is also on the rumored product list. Reports point to an OLED display, an updated speaker system, and a relocated front-facing camera. However, Apple has not confirmed whether these products will appear at the October 28 event.

Unlike Apple's traditional launch events, the October 28 gathering is being described as an in-person media experience. Journalists are expected to get hands-on time with new products, while Apple may announce details through its newsroom and related videos.
A public livestream has not been confirmed. The event follows Apple's October 13 product experience, where the company introduced the HomeView smart display, HomePod mini 2, and a new Apple TV 4K.
For now, the touchscreen MacBook Pro remains the biggest talking point. Apple's official announcements next week should clarify which devices are arriving, their specifications, and when customers can buy them.
